Who We Are?

Prime Diamond Initiative for Community Health (PDICH) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to promoting positive health and well-being of underserved persons in Nigeria, West Africa (CAC/IT/NO 83732). PDICH is registered with relevant ministries, departments and agencies of the Government of Nigeria. PDICH utilises locally identified strategies, partners, and relevant bodies to achieve all projects/programs designed to support beneficiaries through a multi-pronged approach.

Our interventions are dedicated to building grassroots partnership and champion solutions with local/national authorities, community leaders and international development organisations for an all-inclusive and supportive approach to achieve mutual objectives.

Our vision

We provide healthy and sustainable solutions where all women and girls can achieve equitable social inclusion which closes the inequality gap and improve access to knowledge and resources of pivotal roles to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our mission

to achieve gender equality, good health & well-being, sanitation, education, poverty eradication & social justice. These will be achieved by working with marginalised persons living in poverty and exclusion to develop strategies for a safe society, through community-driven interventions, socio-economic empowerment, and research and policy development.

We are transparent and accountable to our staff, partners, donors, stakeholders, the government, and also the persons we support. This is important because it helps build the trust in our engagements with every community we deliver our commitments.

We are committed to teamwork, and we demonstrate a high level of professionalism where team members are trained to maintain confidentiality and also culturally sensitive when working with any population. We increase our knowledge and experience as we learn and adapt to every one of our events to improve our performance and impact as we help each other succeed.

Innovation

In our ever-changing world, the power to create, re-invent and transform simple ideas into impactful interventions has changed the way our design and solutions creation is approached. At PDICH, we co-create solutions and innovation in the heart of all our organisational development and programming. Starting from the design, implementation & reporting via selected tools and platforms for women and girls to understand their needs.

Research and Advocacy

Our research and advocacy programs are designed and implemented based on evidence from survey, community and expert consultations, and a desk review. Projects are also designed using a human-centred approach such that the needs of our beneficiaries’ interventions are represented.

Education

We believe that learning is a critical tool for economic development, and we focus on using both interactive curriculum and information technology to design and implement educational projects for beneficiaries. Our work also deploys proven strategies to deliver information and improve learning outcomes.

Capacity building

We support women and girls in Nigeria West Africa build their resilience and capacities to enable them to change themselves, their families and their communities positively.
